Juana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase two truckloads of organic manure and farming tools in order to improve her production and generate income for her family.

Juana's story

Juana lives and works in Sacaba. She is economically independent, hard-working, and responsible. She is a single mother, with two dependent children, who go to primary school. She earns a living in agriculture. She plants potatoes and green beans as the main products with the greatest demand in the market. The land where she farms is an inheritance from her parents. It is 5.48 hectares and is in the community of Larati. She produces potatoes and green beans rotating the crops with oats and barley to feed her cattle. She has 12 years of experience and seniority in the agricultural sector. She also has four head of cattle that are part of her agricultural business. Juana requires the loan for the purchase of two truckloads of organic manure (from chickens), farming tools, and agrochemicals. She must provide herself with these farm supplies because she wants stock up in order to not have any contingencies in the normal course of her work. For that reason, she came to request a loan that fits her needs and requirements and will be very helpful to her. Lastly, Juana is very happy to have the opportunity to access a loan because, with the purchase of farm supplies, she will increase her production and have greater sales that will improve her standard of living and her social situation.
