Ruth Mery's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to set up a garden center where she can house her seedlings and can sell them to get a better income.

Ruth Mery's story

Ruth is 28-years old. She lives 35 kilometers from the city of Cochabamba in the area of Tolata Chico, an agricultural area. She has finished her technical/formative course in table grape production. With a lot of effort, she has set up her small garden center where she plants her grape plants of the Ribier, Moscatel, Cereza and Red Globe varieties, which are the varieties that adapt the best to the climate and ground in the area of Valle Alto.

She needs capital to set up a garden center where she can house her seedlings to produce and later go out to sell them, as well as transportation to move them to the local markets held each week for the entire Cochabamba valley, near and far away. This way she can grow with her dream that she has had since she was young, which is producing on her land and not moving to the city. Now she has her family (husband and 4 small children who help her with the cultural jobs cultivating the land.)
