Jennifer Lisseth's story

Jennifer is a small entrepreneur who lives in Malambo. She started her business in 2011 in order to earn more money and support her family. A single mother, she lives with her two young daughters. She got the idea for the business from a friend who makes and sells cleaning products. He taught her the recipes as well as tips and tricks to be a good saleswoman. Now, Jennifer sells many different types of cleaning products to neighbours, acquaintances and family. Her products are in high demand and she does business every day from 7 am to 3 pm. She is asking for a Kiva loan, which is her first loan with field partner Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, in order to buy ingredients to make cleaning products. By producing more, she will increase her income. Her plans for the future are to have more customers and to keep increasing her family's standard of living.
