A loan helped to repair the motorcycle used for his business.

Julius's story

Julius is thankful to Kiva and Kiva lenders for the previous loan that he used to buy stock like sugar, soap, and cooking oil to sell. For the last 15 years he has been operating two businesses: motorcycle transport and a retail shop in Fort Portal. He has the responsibility of paying school fees for his 5 children and taking care of the family needs like providing food, clothing, and meeting the medical bills.

He is faced with the challenge of thieves who fight him along the way and take away motorcycles, plus a poor road network. Especially during the rainy season roads are so slippery that he does not work.

Julius is a settled person with a settled home. His wife attends to the retail business that is situated near their home. They have managed to educate their first born who is now in senior four. Julius has got 4 cows at home that provide his family with milk and more milk to sell.

Julius has asked for another Kiva loan to help him repair the motorcycle used for his business.
