Mukhtar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more raw materials for her husband for making furniture.

Mukhtar's story

Mukhtar is a 58-year-old married woman, living with her better half and the mother of four children, in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband is very hardworking and loves his family very much. He tries to make sure that his family does not have any needs that are not met.

Mukhtar's husband is involved in his own business so as to have a regular income in the family. He is involved in manufacturing and selling furniture, such as single beds, tables, and sofa sets, etc. He started this business from his young age; now he has grown old and weak as well.

Today, Mukhtar's husband has many regular customers and also takes orders from other cities. This business yields a good income for her husband, but her family's needs are increasing day by day so she needs more money to afford their household expenses. Now, Mukhtar wants to buy more raw materials for her husband for making furniture in order to expand the business. This is why she came to BRAC Pakistan. She wishes to obtain a loan, so that her husband can buy raw materials for marking furniture. Mukhtar hopes that this loan will prove beneficial and productive for his business as well as for their family.

Mukhtar thanks Kiva and field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for this honorable support.
