Saima's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bangles for her bangles business.

Saima's story

This is Saima. She is a 31-year-old woman living with her three children in the area of Multan, Pakistan. She is a mom, and her husband is the head of the family. She depends economically on her husband. Her husband is responsible for fulfilling the needs of the entire family, but Saima has been running a small bangle-selling business for four years for other household expenses.

Her native language is Punjabi, which she speaks with her family, and she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business. They live in a rented room made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

Saima is asking for a loan to buy more bangles for her business. The challenge Saima is facing is to have sufficient capital to run the business and to be able support her family in its present form. Saima’s biggest dream is to buy a house to live comfortably with her children and to pay for her children's education.

This is Saima's first loan cycle with the institution in the four years that she has had this business.

Saima and her family will be thankful to Kiva, its lenders, and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standards.
