Sery's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a hygienic latrine.

Sery's story

Sery is a farmer who lives in Prey Yeang Village, Ou Ta Paong District, Bakan District, Pursat Province. She is 46 years old and a widowed mother of three children. Two of the three are already married, while another one is still under her support. One of her children is a construction worker. Currently she can earn a net profit of about USD 10 per day.

Because it is hard to find a place to defecate, Sery would like to get a loan from Kiva in order to build a hygienic latrine for her house. Sery is very happy with this loan, since it will promote her health, environment, and living standard. She is planning to create a new business as a grocery seller, besides her farming business.

She would like to thank all lenders for their generosity in providing such a great loan for poor people like her.
