The Shy Women Group's story
Mrs. Xinh is standing at center in the photo, she is 42 years old. Mrs. Xinh lives in Quang Xuong district, a semi-urban town in Thanh Hoa province.
Of the members in this group, her circumstances are the most difficult as her husband passed away a long time ago. She has to work hard to raise her children and keep sending them to school. Her family is a low-income household in village. Moreover, the market need is low in this region.
She has been making aluminium furniture for more than 10 years. The main hardship that Xinh faces is lack of capital. In 2016, Xinh joined Thanh Hoa microfinance institution to improve her business. Xinh has successfully repaid 3 loans from Thanh Hoa microfinance institution. She is planning on using her portion of this loan to purchase aluminum to make furniture to sell.
With her business profit, Xinh hopes for her family to be healthy and happy, for her children to find a good job, and to maintain a successful business.
