Bundikyora Balitusuka Women Group's story

Robinah a member Bundikyora Balitusuka Women Group is a cocoa farmer who also buys cocoa from other farmers to increase her sales. She has operated a business for twelve years which gives her wide knowledge and experience about the business. Robinah was given land by her husband and she never wasted time, but rather hurried to plant cocoa. On realizing that she needed to have enough cocoa for trading she decided to also rent out other peoples gardens during the season so as to harvest and increase on her sales. This business has been instrumental in terms of family management and education of her offspring, although challenges of unstable prices, unpredictable weather changes and poor infrastructure reduce her expected returns. Robinah is optimistic of educating her offspring and expanding her business. The purpose of the loan is to rent a cocoa garden to harvest and sell.
