but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more piglets to raise.

Khmul's Group's story

A 34-year-old mother, Khmul is married and has one daughter who is still in school. She and her husband earn a living though rice planting and pig raising as the main sources of their income. For additional income, she also sells soup in Ponhea Krek district of Kampong Cham province, where her hometown is.

She has been involved with rice farming for approximately 15 years. She has applied for two cycles already with VisionFund Cambodia, and she fully paid back her loan. The loan from VisionFund Cambodia has improved her business and supported her family’s need as well. With this gradual improvement, she and two other group members agreed to apply for a new loan.

For this new cycle, Khmul is going to use her loan portion to buy more piglets to raise. In the future, she expects that her pig-raising business will be running smoothly and will gain her a good income to support her child’s education.
