Cruz Gulnara's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to build a chicken coop.
Cruz Gulnara's story
Cruz is 60 years old. She is a single mother, with two daughters ages 22 and 14. With the earthquake, the house fell down, and now there is only rubble where her home once was. She recovered very few things from the rubble. The family is living in the shelter. She had a chicken coop where she raised chickens. They all died, crushed with the walls and roofs, and that is why Cruz has had many economic losses. With the new loan from the foundation, she will build a chicken coop in order to return to raising chickens and pigs again. For the moment, she is selling shellfish and cheese throughout nearby neighborhoods, "...in order to survive with my daughters".
