Coumba's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy 25 baskets of smoked fish, 750 kilos of peanuts and various products.
Coumba, in the photo, is a widow, 57 years old, and mother of five sons and a daughter. She has been selling smoked fish, peanuts and various products (spices, garlic, piment hot peppers) for years at the weekly market in her village. This member is part of the "banc villageois" created in November 2009, made up of women who are very supportive of each other and active in business. With her new loan, she plans to buy 25 baskets of smoked fish, 750 kilos of peanuts and various products (spices, garlic, piment hot peppers) that she will then resell at retail at the market in her area. The income earned will be used in particular to buy food for her family, pay for the health care expenses of her children, and lastly, save in the banc villageois.
