Sabougnouma Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some sheep for resale.

Sabougnouma Group's story

Bougouna is a member of the borrowing group Sabougnouma, pictured here holding the ram. He is a 43-year-old husband and father to 3 children. The children range in age from one to six, and one of them currently attends school. For the last six years, Bougouna has earned a living fattening sheep to resell. He buys the animals from the weekly local markets, raises them for about six years, then resells them in the surrounding cities. He typically earns a profit of 35,000 FCFA after sales. Because Bougouna does not have a lot of business capital, he is partnering with RMCR to borrow funds to buy additional sheep. After sales, he hopes the additional profits will allow him to support all the needs of his family, including health care, clothing, and food.
