Faten's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy both a manual sewing machine, because electricity is unstable in Lebanon, and clothes for her son who has special needs.

Faten's story

Faten is a 40-year-old divorced mother of one child and a Palestinian refugee who lives in a Palestinian refugee camp. Four years ago, she attended tailoring training sessions, and then she started her business in the tailoring field from her own home so she could cover the needs and expenses of her family. She is her family's only breadwinner.

Today, Faten is acquiring a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to replace her electric sewing machine with a manual one because electricity is unstable in Lebanon. She also wants to buy clothes for her son who has special needs.

Faten hopes to keep on expanding her business in order to increase her income and improve her family's living conditions.
