Mao Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase compost and to pay for plowing costs for her farm.

Mao Group's story

Mao, aged 41, lives with her husband and three school-aged children in Takeo Province in Cambodia. She cultivates rice as her main income to support her family, typically making about US$4 each day. Her family is also supported by her husband who is a teacher at a public school.

The weather conditions have been difficult for farming in Cambodia this past year. These factors have played into a difficult economic year for many Cambodians, including Mao. In light of these economic difficulties, Mao has formed a group of four members to apply for a loan with Kredit MFI. She is pictured first on the right as the group leader.

Mao will use her portion to purchase compost and to pay for plowing costs for her farm. She is confident that this loan will allow her to increase her daily income and to better support her family.
