Arminda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to maintain the road within her farm and use for pineapple maintenance to improve her products and generate better income.

Arminda's story

Arminda lives in Manco Kapac. She is a common-law wife and has two children. The Chapare Province of Cochabamba Department is one of the two poorest places of Bolivia. She came from her community of Melga like most people looking for greater opportunities in life.

In her community the low production due to climate changes is difficult to control. Each time the production was in short supply which is why she decided to migrate to the tropics, to her father’s land. Later she bought an agricultural lot that she works in the agricultural area and she works growing pineapples. She has in production one hectare of pineapples, averaging 24,000 units, which she sells to middlemen who come to buy at the trade organization.

The loan that she is requesting is for road maintenance to facilitate access to her pineapple production within the agricultural parcel and for pineapple maintenance to improve her income by maintaining her plot.
