Lydia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to have added capital for her Internet cafe business and also to sell containers of mineral water.

Lydia's story

Lydia used her previous loan of PHP 10,000 as a revolving fund for her Internet café and selling containers of mineral water. She’s thankful for the support of the Center for Community Transformation (CCT) and all of the lenders participating in the Kiva program. She's now earning more than PHP 10,000 every month.

Lydia this time applied for a loan of PHP 15,000, as she wants to have added capital for her Internet cafe business and also to sell containers of mineral water. She’s hoping that her loan request will be granted once again. She aims to have another branch of Internet cafe someday. This business has become a medium in sustaining their house and the school expenses of her children.

On a weekly basis, Lydia meets with her CCT co-fellowship members to share her life’s testimony, experience in the business and to draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listen to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship with other partners, and pay microfinance loans.
