Total loan: $1,075

General Trias, Cavite, Calabarzon, Philippines / Retail

Annabelle's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a coffee vending machine and a printer to offer printing services.

Annabelle's story

Annabelle is the loving wife of Hamid and is a caring mother of one. For seven years, she has been selling ready-to-wear clothing and dry goods and wakes up early to open the windows of her "sari-sari" store (a small convenience store that includes varieties of products that are needed in a person's everyday life, sold in small quantities such as sachets of shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, cooking oil, and canned food). She also earns income from karaoke, a machine where anyone can use a microphone and sing along with a chosen musical selection. Annabelle hopes to expand her store by adding a coffee vending machine and offering printing services. Her most ardent dream is to see her child receive a college diploma. Every week, she faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work and also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies. *All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
