Nelys Del Carmen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase corn and vegetables to make tamales, as well as invest in the purchase of chickens for fattening and wild chickens to increase the inventory of her farm.

Nelys Del Carmen's story

Nelys is an elderly woman who is 72 years old. Currently she lives with her daughter, who is 30 years old, and her sister, who is 45 years old. Nelys makes a living selling tamales [traditional Mesoamerican dish made of masa which is steamed in a corn husk or banana leaf] and raising farm animals, such as chickens, pigs, ducks, etc.

Nelys is asking for a loan which will allow her to invest in the purchase of corn and vegetables to make tamales, as well as chickens for fattening and wild chickens to increase the inventory of her farm. This will greatly benefit her since she will be able to strengthen her business and generate more earnings to feed her family.

Nelys hopes to be able to repay the debt as quickly as possible and to generate better earnings in order to financially assist her grandchildren.
