Neris Antonio's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy agricultural supplies in order to achieve a better coffee harvest and more income for his family.

Neris Antonio's story

Neris, age 43, is a coffee grower in the northern part of the country. He is a husband and father who is very committed to his family. He owns a small farm with 2.81 hectares planted with coffee. He has worked on this farm for the past 11 years.

In the previous cycle, his production increased by 15%; for that reason, this year he has decided to implement a maintenance plan which will help him improve the nutritional condition of his coffee trees. Thus he is requesting a loan to buy agricultural supplies, in order to achieve a better harvest and more income for his family.

For this producer, the best legacy he can leave to his children is his love for his work and for growing coffee, a crop to which his family members have dedicated themselves for several generations, and which he is now managing under the certification criteria for fair trade.
