María Silvia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a cow, feed for her pigs, and bread.

María Silvia's story

Maria was only able to complete the sixth grade. Her husband passed away many years ago but she remarried a year ago. She has three children, two of whom are adults and her youngest daughter attends school.

Maria started a small business in her home when her children's father died 12 years ago, baking artesian bread, so she could provide food and an education for her children. She also sells tamales and pupusas on the weekends. She enjoys raising coral animals and her mother and children are also involved.

She will use the money from this loan to buy a cow, feed for her pigs, and bread supplies.

She plans to buy motorcycles so that her children can deliver customer orders more quickly.
