Total loan: $2,775

Colon, Colón Department, Honduras / Food

Marcos's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a solar powered freezer system to improve the conditions of his grocery store and earn more revenue.

Marcos's story

Marcos is 52 years old and lives in the community of Colon, Honduras. He earns a living in agriculture and livestock and has also had a grocery store for 15 years where he sells consumible products.

His wife, Angela, is a very big help in the grocery store, which allows him to have additional income for household expenses and be able to give his three children a good education. They aspire to have their business grow more, stocking it with products they currently can't sell because the community where they live doesn't have electricity.

By getting a freezer system, the people in the area will buy foods for the home without having to walk long distances to the closest town. He will thus improve his sales and give the community better service.

As a result, he's decided to seek a loan from Soluz Hunduras Financiamiento to buy a solar-powered freezer to improve his business and his family's living conditions.
