Julio Manuel's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase "caña flecha" [a type of cane that grows in the area] and wicker to produce hand-crafted hats.

Julio Manuel's story

To improve the conditions of his home is the dream of this humble but hard-working man named Julio. He lives in the municipality of San Andres de Sotaviento where he has a family consisting of his wife and three children.

He works independently in his business producing handicraft products from wicker and "caña flecha" [a type of cane that grows in the area]. Despite not having great resources, he is proud knowing that his home is never without daily meals and he works every day to improve the situation.

Since Colombia is currently in the mid-year period where many leave on vacation, it is an excellent opportunity for Julio to sell his hand-crafted products. For this reason, he wants to request a loan that will be allocated in its entirety in the purchase of "caña flecha" and wicker.
