Gloria Piedad's story
Gloria is 56 years old, married, and lives with her husband who works as a mechanic. They both work in order to support the household and she says that the family unit is vital during difficult times. Her entrepreneurial initiative has taken her to have different businesses. 10 years ago she began raising and selling Guinea pigs and she also has a grocery store where things sell quickly because of the demand. This has allowed her to cover nearly all of the monthly expenses. She wants to continue and needs to buy Guinea pigs, feed, vitamins, cooking oil, sugar, flour, and rice in quantity. Gloria intends to improve production and profits. In the future she wants to build a larger shop to serve her customers.
