Mujeres De Oro Group's story

The group named "Mujeres de Oro" (Women of Gold) is in its first loan cycle. The members are from the city of San Pedro, a locale that is far from the capital. They live in remote areas of their city which are very difficult to access.

Sra. Carolina is one of the members who sells "chipas" (cheese bread), which is a traditional Paraguayan food that is consumed throughout the year. She sells her food as a street vendor. Carolina is a selfless and determined woman who conducts her sales even when its raining or if there is extreme heat.

She is requesting a loan in order to buy tapioca flour, cheese, and eggs for making the cheese bread that she sells. Carolina is extremely pleased because thanks to her loan, she will be able to acquire her supplies at a better price.
