G.s. San Miguel Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy manure and fungicides to look after his coffee farm.

G.s. San Miguel Group's story

63-year-old Tiburcio is married and lives with his wife and three children in a village belonging to the town of La Esperanza, Intibucá. He has been growing coffee for over 10 years on rural plots in the area. He sells the harvest in the local market, which is where he makes his own income.

He has asked for a second loan from the institution as part of a group, to buy fungicides and manure to look after his coffee farm and improve the growth and the yield. His plan is to make more income so his children can graduate from university, and to extend his cultivation area. The group is called San Miguel and is made up of 6 members who live in the same community and make a living growing coffee. The group loan is for 61,000 Lempiras and they will use it to fertilise their coffee farms.
