Destiny's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped cover the costs of securing the facility and obtaining necessary permits and licenses to operate the center.
I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio by a single mother and one older sister. I have always had big dreams of entrepreneurship as I have watched my mother manage and cultivate her small business to become a success. After having my own children, I realized where my passion was and transitioned from customer service, restaurant and hotel jobs to childcare and home daycare. The challenges I faced related to trustworthy childcare made me feel that the best option for my children would be me working overnight so that I could be home with them during the day instead of sending them to a childcare center. The challenges that came along with working overnight full time and being a full time/day time stay at home mom were some of the most difficult of my life and encouraged me to consider providing the type of environment that I sought for my own children. Since 2012, I have been providing home daycare and have since encountered a severely overlooked community of parents and families of special needs children. I have had children in my care who struggle in traditional childcare centers because they may have a slight delay or difference in their development. In my search for better options to these families with special needs or non typical developing children, I realized just how limited the options are for these families. My dreams for the future of A Mother's Love is to be able to provide a wonderful childcare environment that puts parents like myself at ease, and offers special needs childcare options to families who otherwise struggle to find it.
