A loan helped to buy a buffalo for her diary farm business.

Pathani's Group's story

Pathani is 47 years old and a mother of one son, living with her spouse in the area of Multan, Pakistan. In the photo, Pathani is the lady standing, who has raised her hand, and the others are Shabana, Azran, Faizan and Kalsoom. Simultaneously with her work, Pathani is engaged in farming. On the farm, all of the work is equally divided among the family members. Pathani takes care of cows .calves and buffaloes. Her native language is Punjabi, which she speaks with her family and, she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business. They live in a rented room made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing.

With the help of her husband, Pathani sells her farm milk in the city. She mentions that she is so happy to help and support her family with her work on the farm, which brings in some more income, albeit small, for their needs.

Now Pathani asks for this loan to purchase a buffalo for her diary farm.

Pathani and her family will be thankful to Kiva, its lenders and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standard.
