A loan helped to buy improved farm supplies that will increase his crop yields.

Sadi's story

Sadi is a Babban Gona maize farmer who lives in Tudun Wada village. He is married, the father of seven children, and lives in a mud house with his family. He is a meticulous farmer who has invested time and resources in his farm and hopes his children will work twice as hard as he does and become professiosnals.

Thanks to his drive, Sadi is able to ensure that his family eats three square meals a day. In order, to keep improving his yield and feed his family; he needs access to high-quality supplies such as fertilizers, herbicides, and improved seeds. As a Babban Gona member, Sadi will receive a full suite of the best inputs to increase his yields to up to 3.5 metric tones per hectare, 2.3 times the national average.

With increased yields and income of up to 3.5 times the national average, Sadi looks forward to using his additional income to pay his children's school fees. He is a happy Babban Gona farmer, prizes the good yield as his best memory, and looks forward to a brighter future with Babban Gona as his partner in fighting poverty.
