Aissatou's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy six sheep.

Aissatou's Group's story

This group of four members is part of the Banc Villageois that was created in November 2009, bringing together women who are very supportive and who are engaged in small-scale businesses.

Aissatou, standing on the right in the photo with her hand raised, is the featured borrower. She is 57, married, and the mother of nine children, three of them sons. She works raising livestock and has been doing that for years, so she has a lot of experience in this field. With her new loan, she intends to buy six sheep in a weekly market not far from where she lives. With the remainder of the loan money, she wants to buy livestock feed. The profits will be used to set aside savings in the Banc Villageois and also to begin construction of some more rooms in her house.
