A loan helped to buy more piglets.

Qian's story

Qian is a 21-year-old single woman living with her parents. She has been working raising pigs for more than two years after she graduated from high school. Her mother has taught her this practice and helps her carry out this activity.

Qian didn't do very well at school so, after high school, she stopped her formal education. Qian is a hardworking and strong woman. She and her parents have had more than 100 pigs. Qian helps to clean the pigpen, feed the piglets, etc. The income from the pigs helps her support her family.

Qian has requested 20,000 CNY from Microcred to buy more piglets. Because of changes in the economy, the price of pork has risen by more than 30%. Qian wants to buy smaller pigs so she can meet the demands of the market at the end of the year. She believes that she can pay off the loan quickly and her family will have a better life in the future.
