Francis Geovani's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy nylon, sieves, iron, and other materials needed to build a solar dryer to dry his high quality organic coffee.

Francis Geovani's story

Geovani is a farmer specializing in the production of high quality coffee that is certified organic and Fair Trade. He has over 20 years of experience in coffee production and over two years in the preparation of special coffees that he sells directly to his buyers with the support of COCAFCAL, of which he is a member.

Geovani is married, and he also supports his mother. Geovani's main goal is to be able to give his family a decent life and to, above all, acquire experience working with coffee in the best way possible in order to produce quality in harmony with the environment. Geovani is a great friend of quality. Therefore, his coffee farm is certified as Fair Trade, organic, and UTZ. Also, in order to improve the quality of the coffee he prepares it in solar dryers. Preparing the coffee in solar dryers accentuates the flavors and aromas of the bean. It also homogenizes the humidity in order to make the degradation process in storerooms slower. That is the reason that this coffee is much preferred by a lot of buyers.

Geovani is requesting a loan to build a solar dryer. The loan will help him to buy materials like nylon, sieves, nails, and others. The loan will help Geovany to continue preparing coffee in the most optimal conditions possible. This will allow him to choose better markets for his coffee production. With the earnings from the coffee Geovany wants to improve his living conditions, invest in order to prepare better coffee, and make his farm more environmentally friendly.
