Lucia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase flowers in bulk from another city due to the seasonal scarcity.

Lucia's story

Lucia is a 68-year-old woman, a widow, she has independent children, and her business is selling flowers.

She forges life, love and protection and in her fingers holds the peace of the continuous soul; with help or without help she cures her wounds. Her business is located in the Max Paredes zone, the zone with the most formal and informal business in all areas.

Lucia has a loving and silent gaze, each verse she shares is a statement of friendship and harmony because her native language is Aymará, which she almost never speaks because she speaks Spanish. She shares her life with her daughter and her son-in-law who work. They live in a rented room, built of adobe, which has potable water, electricity and sewer services. They enjoy Sundays, attending services at the Christian church.

Her business is selling flowers such as snapdragons, gazanias, cacalias, lechuguines, daisies, and other species, work that she does from her permanent sales stand located in the street in open air. There are also seasons of higher sales such as for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and the festival of All Saints Day, and for weddings which are celebrated in the last four months of the year. "Flowers aren't grown in the city, we have to bring them from other places..." she says. Her business is successful because her sales stand is well-situated. The advantage of her business is the purchase of flowers in bulk, the disadvantage is the lack of merchandise in the winter season. Her dream is to improve her business. She wants to purchase flowers in bulk from another city.

For these reasons, Lucia asks for a loan to purchase flowers in bulk from another city due to the seasonal scarcity.
