A loan helped to purchase improved farm inputs that will increase her farm yields.

Angelina's story

Angelina is a Babban Gona maize farmer from Sabon Sara village. She is married, has seven children, and lives in a mud house with her family. She is a meticulous farmer who has invested time and resources in her farm. She hopes her children work twice as hard as she does and become lawyers.

Thanks to her drive, Angelina is able to ensure that her family eats three square meals a day. In order for Angelina to keep improving her yield and feed her family as a result, she needs access to high-quality inputs such as fertilizers, herbicides and improved seeds. As a Babban Gona member, Angelina will be provided with a full suite of the best inputs to optimize her farm and increase her yields up to 3.5 metric tons per hectare, 2.3 times the national average.

With increased yields and income of up to 3.5 times the national average, Angelina looks forward to using her additional income to pay her children's school fees. Angelina is a happy Babban Gona farmer and holds having a good harvest as her best memory as a Babban Gona member. She looks forward to a brighter future with Babban Gona as her partner in fighting poverty.
