but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase chickens in bulk.

Mensajeras De Dios Group's story

The “Mensajeras de Dios” communal loan group will begin its second loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal de Villa Adela. It is made up of nine members and is led by officers, of whom Ruth is the president. The businesses that the member of the communal loan group carry our are varied, and among them are: chicken sales, food sales, meat sales, clothing sales, quilt and blanket sales, cosmetic sales, and a neighborhood store.

The loan that they will get will benefit the small micro-entrepreneurs, of whom Ruth is one. She says that she joined Pro Mujer one year ago, joining at the invitation of her sister, who belongs to the institution. Currently, she has a business selling chickens. She says that she learned this business from a friend some years ago.

The loan that she will get now is to increase her capital (purchase chickens in bulk), which she will get from the wholesalers of the IMBA chicken agencies in the city of El Alto and later will sell them in her sales space. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, since she is single and has one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the health center that the institution offers.
