Elvio's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped buy a mobile cart to expand my business, distribution, and pay for permits.
My name is Elvio, I was born in San Francisco to immigrant parents from two different countries. My mother is from Amatlan de Cana, Nayarit, Mexico and my father from Crespano de Grappa, Italy. Growing up in San Francisco as a Mexican-Italian, you can bet, I grew up around delicious foods, many family gatherings and most importantly I was raised to value family and hard work. I learned from both my parents the meaning of hard work. My mother was a nurse and my father owned his own construction company. I worked alongside my dad driving tractors, pouring concrete, and creating works of art. I learned the value of entrepreneurship and earning your own keep. I knew I wanted to be a business owner myself, but construction was not my passion. I loved food, especially ice cream. Later, in 2011 I decided to take my passion, my heritage, and my entrepreneurial spirit and start my own business, Lobos Ice Cream.
