Evelyn Otilia's story
Ms. Evelyn M. is a businesswoman whose main activity is making buffet-style food, appetizers, pastries, and Mexican food. She and her husband have been in the food preparation business for several years. They have a good clientele because of the exquisite flavor that they add to their dishes. They are hired to cater events, but they also sell lunch to the tobacco factory workers in the area. They have 3 children—a son who is in elementary school, and two daughters who are younger. Ms. M. and her husband are requesting a loan because they have the opportunity to expand their business. They will set up a cubicle in one of the supermarkets in this city, but they do not have the tools and materials they need to offer their customers good service and improve their earnings.
