Liz's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped extend my winter and early spring growing season through the use of three additional high tunnels.

Liz's story

I was born and raised in Columbia, MO. It is the community in which I moved back to and the community that I currently provide certified organic produce to. My love of gardening is the result of time spent with my grandparents as a child. I discovered CSA farms in graduate school, and, after interning and working with other farmers, I moved back to Missouri. I worked at a local garden center for nearly 6 years saving as much as I could so that I would be able to live my dream of becoming a farmer. In November of 2007 my partner and I bought our farm and called it Happy Hollow Farm. I started farming full-time in the spring of 2010 and I have grown & expanded my business every year. I am living my dream of growing beautiful, healthy food for a community of people that share my enthusiasm and commitment to a local food system. Now, my partner and I are raising our daughter on our farm in a beautiful part of Missouri surrounded by people that love & support us and appreciate the work that I do.
