Ras's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped achieve my dream and create new markets in a poverty stricken town in the Delta.
My name is Ras Stoxstill and I am an entrepreneur from the Delta hoping to grow a successful car restoration shop from the ground up. Born in 1967 and raised in rural Mississippi, I was the seventh child of my mother, and thanks to the loving support of my grandmother (who essentially raised me) I was able to grow up and work hard to make something of myself. It was not easy growing up in a state of poverty, but I refused to allow such adversity keep me from achieving my dreams. After working my hardest to make it through primary education and high school, I went to college and acquired a degree in automotive technician services. Though I had been working on cars and trucks long before I could drive, it was during these years that I gained a true passion for automotive work and gained a serious understanding on the history of the industry. After completing my education, I worked for roughly 20 years at dealer mechanics facilities ranging from pre-owned/used dealerships to Crown Mercedes in Los Angeles. During these years, I gained enormous experience in all makes and models, and the specific do’s and don’ts of the industry. This gave me a great understanding of how I would run things were I the boss. In 2005 I moved to Helena, Arkansas after falling on hard times from financial and insurance related issues, and since getting back on my feet, I have been working as an independent mechanic for customers in the county.
