Veronica's story

Veronica is a married woman and a mother of 5 children, 4 of whom are working and the other is still in school. They live in Eldoret. She is a dairy farmer; it is a business that she has done for a long time and one that she loves doing. She sells milk to different institutions and she is happy with the profits she makes. The challenges that she encounters are diseases that affect her cows and lack of sufficient milk to meet all the needs of her clients. With a Kiva loan, she will buy cow feed and another dairy cow that will boost her milk production. This loan will boost her business and enable her to take good care of her cows. The profits she earns will go toward paying her loan and buying more cow feed. She has employed young men who take her milk to her clients. This is her first loan and her dream is to be a great dairy farmer.
