Watuwoga Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more yarn, dye, etc. for her traditional weaving.

Watuwoga Group's story

The Watuwoga group is made up of 5 women who are struggling for their families by running different business. They are willing to help their husbands to make more income for better life. Pasionista (is pictured raised her hand) is a representative of the Watuwoga group. Pasionista has 2 lovely daughters from the marriage to Marselinus, a 55 year old labourer

Pasionista has been involved in producing weaving since she was a young girl. She uses her skill to make more income and she really enjoys doing this business. In addition, Pasionista also has another business of raising poultry, pigs and farming as well, but due to a long dried season, then she only focused on her weaving business and raising livestock. She is an enterprising woman; she puts her hope in this business, as through this business she can support her daughter education.

She needs a month to produce 2 beautiful sarongs. Due to demand from customers she should buy more yarn, dye, etc. Therefore, Pasionista and 4 neighbors formed a group and have applied a loan totaling of IDR 13.750.000 from TLM as Kiva’s partner. Pasionista is expecting this loan will give more benefits in her business continuity.
