A loan helped to buy more cows in order to increase the size of her herd.

Zhailookan's story

Zhailookan is 62 years old, married, and the heroic mother to eight children (five daughters and three sons). She has a secondary education. She is retired now. Zhailookan rears animals and grows crops for income for her family. Her children and husband help her on the farm. Thanks to hard work, today Zhailookan has 11 cows and 15 sheep. She also has a 0.6 hectare plot of her own land on which she grows corn to prepare grain for her livestock. In order to develop her business further, Zhailookan has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) to buy some cows to increase the size of her herd. Zhailookan plans to invest the proceeds of the loan in the further development of her business.
