Vannak's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay the fee for plowing her cassava farmland.

Vannak's Group's story

Vannak is 36 years old and the mother of four dependent children. Three of them are still in school and the other one is too young to attend school. She is a local resident of the Thmor Koul district, Battambang province.

She has been planting cassava as the main source of her income for around 16 years. At the same time, she and her husband work as construction workers to earn additional income. The main challenge of her income source is that she lacks capital to do cassava planting.

This is the eighth loan cycle for her with VisionFund Cambodia, and she repaid her previous loans completely. She has used the past loan to purchase home equipment to improve her family’s living.

Being a leader of her group of three members, she is seeking this new loan to pay the fee for plowing her cassava farmland. She hopes her crop will grow well and will return her more income so that she can keep sending her children to school.
