Delfina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn, cream cheese, pork, beans, loroco flower, and oil in order to start a new business selling "pupusas".

Delfina's story

Delfina unfortunately did not have the opportunity to go to school. She is now married; her husband is a farmer. Two of the couple's children attend school while the others now live independently.

Delfina has a smile that belies the joy she takes from her work. Delfina has a business selling tortillas, a trade that she has run for five years. She is now thinking of starting to sell "pupusas" (a thick corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, fried pork rind, chicken, or refried beans) in order to increase profits. Delfina's husband is farmer and occasionally helps with her business. The couple work together to move forward with their children.

Delfina needs this loan in order to buy corn, cream cheese, pork, beans, loroco flower, and oil in order to start a new business selling pupusas, and to continue selling tortillas.

Delfina has a big dream of giving her children an education, and teaching them family values and principles. She wants to continue working with Credicampo and with the support of Kiva. She also wants to make improvements to her house in order to live in better conditions.
