Emiliano Zapata Group's story
In a very quite community in the state of México, a group called "Emiliano Zapata" was formed by few cheerful people. This name is a symbol of the struggle for the ideals and fair value of the popular revolutionary. This community is characterized by having very cheerful and hardworking people, who make a living raising animals, growing corn, or producing handmade embroidery. Crescencio is an important member of the group. He is kind and happy and has an enterprising spirit. Currently, all his 7 children are independent, and he has 9 grandchildren who fill his home with joy every time they visit him. Although he has worked all his life in the fields, 17 years ago he started a business raising pigs. The process for each specimen to reach its full development may last several months, and during this time, detailed care is essential to obtain the expected benefits. At this moment he has 15 pigs in his corrals, divided among small, big and breeding pigs. One of his goals is to double the amount of pigs since the time when his customers request the pigs is getting closer; "with this loan I can continue safely with the business", he said. He also grows strawberries, business that he is planning to sell soon to earn additional income to benefit his family. The benefits of VFMéxico have also allow him to remodel and improve his house. Another of his goals is to have a savings fund for when he decides to retire. The other members of the group are Angélica, who will invest in the vegetable selling; Marcela in miscellaneous jobs; and Danny in a blacksmith's workshop. *The photo was taken in the municipal center, Crescencio is the one wearing a blue shirt.
