Alh Dalladi's story
Alh Dalladi is a Babban Gona maize farmer. He is a hardworking married man with 24 children. His youngest children are Hamza and Amina whom he hopes grow up to be successful farmers. During the hunger season, his family was only able to eat twice a day despite working several hours on the farm. As a Babban Gona member Alh Dalladi will have access to seed, fertilizer, herbicide and other quality inputs that will help him optimize his farm and attain yields up to 3.5 metric tons per hectare; 2.3 times the national average in Nigeria and increase his income earnings up to 3.5 times the national average. With this increase in yield, he can now ensure that his family never goes hungry again. This season, he will use his additional income to purchase more farm land. Alh Dalladi‘s greatest memory as a Babban Gona farmer is when he got great yields and he is sure that with Babban Gona he will have many more.
