Blessing's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farm inputs that will increase farm yield.

Blessing's story

Blessing is a Babban Gona maize farmer. She is a hardworking married woman with four children. Her youngest children are Freice and Fromiss, whom she hopes grow up to be lawyers. During the hunger season, her family was only able to eat two times a day despite working several hours on the farm.

As a Babban Gona member Blessing will have access to seeds, fertilizer, herbicides and other quality inputs that will help her optimize her farm and attain yields up to 3.5 metric tons per hectare, 2.3 times the national average in Nigeria and increase her income earnings up to 3.5 times the national average. With this increase in yield, she can now ensure that her family never goes hungry again.

This season, she will use her additional income to be able to pay her children’s school fees. Blessing‘s greatest memory as a Babban Gona farmer is when she got great good yields and she is sure that with Babban Gona she will have many more.
