A loan helped To put up a biological filtration toilet facility for his family.

Tahiru's story

Tahiru, popularly known as Honourable, is a 36-year-old Assemblyman, who is married with 4 children. He is a photographer and video coverage specialist by profession and is also into shop rental agency. He has been in the photography and video coverage business for over ten years. Being the local Assembly member, his greatest desire is to have a decent toilet in his house so that others can follow his example. Pressure is now being mounted on landlords to have a household toilet, but he feels shy advocating for it, since he does not have one himself. He and his family must wake up at 4:00 a.m. to join long queues to access a dilapidated public toilet. This loan will help Tahiru to put in a biological filtration toilet system for his family. He is hopeful that this will help prevent his family from joining queues in order to get access to a toilet. Although in the future he hopes to get more sophisticated equipment for his photography business, he believes that getting the loan to install the toilet will help a lot, and then he can work hard to pay from his media business. Thank you Kiva lenders for supporting Tahiru's business!
