Marcelina's story

Marcelina is 55 years old and a single mother. She lives with her daughter and a grandson in the town of Choloma, Cortes. She grows coffee, cacao, corn and beans. She also sells firewood. She has been working in a nearby farm in the community for 40 years. This inheritance enables her to earn income to support her family.

She requests a loan to buy fertilizer and cleaning fee in order to provide good support for the corn and bean crops. This will be her third loan with the institution and it is for 25,000 Lempiras.

Her plan is to continue producing basic grains, provide her family the necessities, and improve their quality of life.
