A loan helped to buy a dairy cow and feed.

Nicasio's story

Nicasio is a married man with one wife and two young children. They live in a village in Embu town where they engage in dairy cow farming. Besides that, they also own a tea plantation for cash crop purposes. They are a hardworking young couple, as they are known in their village. Their main challenge is enough milk for personal use and to take to the dairy plant, and cow feed as well, especially during the dry seasons.

A Kiva loan will enable them to buy a dairy cow and feed that will take them through the dry spell. This feed will be of high quality that will make the cows improve on their milk productivity, as well as build on their health and well-being. Nicasio's dream is to grow his dairy farming from 1 to 10 cows, and to be the milk distributor in his village, with over 100 liters of milk a day. He will also use his profits to educate his children to university.
